Vision vs. Medical Insurance: What’s the Difference?

Most patients have two types of coverage, and each one is used for different reasons.

Vision insurance is typically used for routine eye exams, glasses, and standard contact lenses.

Medical insurance is used when there’s a concern with your eye health. This can include things like infections, injuries, or ongoing conditions that need monitoring or treatment.

If you’re not sure which applies to your visit, we’ll help you figure it out.
